We are Dale & Judy Hans, your hosts.
We love coming to Port A. Every time we come here my wife and I always take a slow drive down the beach listening to the water and watching the birds. My favorites are the little Sandpipers scurrying along the sand. My wife, she enjoys the pelicans drifting on the breeze. Once we reach town we usually stop and get an ice cream treat to cap it off. What will you discover are your favorite things? There is so much to explore here.
We chose the name Coastal Calm as a melding of the beautiful location and the way we hope to make our you feel when you stay here.
The cartoon puppy is our company logo which represents our life companion Coco. But I lovingly refer to her as "Lazy Dog".
Her love of the beach is unbounded. We believe that if you stay with us one time, that you will return over and over again. So come, stay at our home and feel your stress melt away as you make lasting memories with your family.
Our Vision
The moment we saw this unit we knew we had to buy it. It was love at first sight.
We knew that we wanted to create a place that would make people feel the way we do about Coastal Calm. It was important to us as we furnished our beach dream home that it not only be ours, but a place that guests could come and have everything needed to enjoy their stay without feeling "I could really use...".
What We Provide
Stocked Kitchen
A fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to heat-up leftovers, or cook a full 4 course meal! Even down to a selection of spices.
Outdoor Lifestyle
We provide the very best patio furnishings. Dining for 4, Bar height chairs with drink holders to enjoy the view. Even 2 small chairs for the kids.
Family Area
Comfortable leather seating, pillows, and lamps as expected! But also a large 4k TV, games, toys and device chargers.
Sunrises
Our 170 degree view of the Gulf is the broadest on Mustang Island. Being half way between Port A and Corpus Chisty places us in the best spot!
Beach Supplies
All that you need; 2 shade tents, blanket, cooler, charis, a wagon, boogie boards and of course beach toys!! All in the upstairs hall closet.
Double Queen Beds
We are the only unit at Mayan Pricess offering two Queens in the Primary bedroom. One regular matters & one memory foam for your choice of comfort.
Computer Desk
We know you need to be connected. Bring your laptop, setup here and connect to actual high speed Internet.
Morning Coffee
A Kurig coffee maker and cups right in the Primary bedroom so you can enjoy that 1st cup before the day gets started on the Teak table for two.
Sunsets
Step out the door onto the walkway or drive to the beach. Sunsets are magnificent to watch at days end.
And Of Course....
The endless quiet, drive-on beach.
2nd Bedroom
Also a Queen size bed. We think our 6 guests should all have beds. Not bunks, not fold-outs, real beds!
Family Dining
Our table seaats 6 adults comfortably. Enjoy family time together while eating. But please, don't all fight over the best view!
Quiet Evenings
Sit on the 2nd floor balcony and watch and listen to the Gulf seranade you as you relax from your day.
Pools and Hot tub
Our resort pool complex offers 3 pools from shallow to deep, a hot tub to chill with a drink, bar-b-q grills and plenty of tables and chairs.
